Slovenian designers and companies at London Design Festival 2018

Several Slovenian designers and companies working in the area of wood and furniture industries and interior design are this year exhibiting at different platforms of London Design Festival 2018.

At 100% Design, the largest and longest-running design trade event for industry professionals in the UK, taking place at Olympia from 19th until 22nd September 2018, Slovenian designer Tina Rugelj is presenting her line of garden furniture Concrete Garden and Slovenian company Riko debut a unique line of “Prefabricated Accessible Technological Homes” – P.A.T.H., combining Philippe Starck’s signature timeless design and Riko’s high expertise with state-of-the-art insulation and energy production technology. First staged in 1995, 100% Design is the commercial cornerstone event of the London Design Festival. Attracting more than 27,000 visitors across 4 days, the show takes place at one of London's most iconic venues, Olympia London.

At London Design Fair, taking place at Old Truman Brewery between 20th and 23rd of September 2018, Cooperative of Slovenian designers '300 Wooden Bears' is showcasing their exquisite wooden products.  Located in the creative heart of East London, the London Design Fair is a four-day industry event that brings together 550 exhibitors from 36 countries, including; independent designers, established brands, international country pavilions, features and exhibitions. As the most international trade destination during the annual London Design Festival over 28,000 influential; retail buyers, architects, interior designers, press, designers and design-savvy public attend to see and specify the very latest; furniture, lighting, textiles, materials and conceptual installations from around the world.

Slovenian exhibitors at the London Design Festival 2018 were visited by Ambassador Rupel and other Embassies' representatives. Dialogue with the participants included the potential activities and assistance the Embassy can offer Slovenian companies at strengthening the export potential to the British market.
